Question 2 (music vids): Music Videos and media language: Music videos use different media language to match the genre of the song (IIWAB, which has an R&B genre uses a monochrome palette and UF, which is a pop genre uses bright colours). Different media language may also be used to match the message that the artist is trying to convey. May also be used to set a different mood/tone. Monochrome= serious. Saturated colour= upbeat and fun. Videos may have linear narratives to tall a story or performance montages to draw attention to song/performers. May use contrasting settings and associated lighting- could be on location or studio performance, urban or rural, exotic or everyday to match the style of music...
