1895- Congress establishes the Government Printing Office
1927- First TV transmission by Philo Farnsworth
1937- Walt Disney produces the first animated film (Snow White)
1944- First large automatic computer is built at Harvard
1954- Colour TV system approved
1960- FM Radio 
1960- First Olympic Games televised
1963- Audiocassettes introduced
1970- Email created
1973- First mobile phone made
1975- Microsoft founded
1976-Apple founded

Media Language Media Insitutions Media Audiences Media Representation Media Language: This covers terms used, how texts are constructed and the messages conveyed.
